FAQs
What is RightPath™?
RightPath™ is a passive implement steering solution that keeps implements centered on the guidance line to ensure precise input placement and increased operational efficiency throughout the growing season, while minimizing crop damage, yield loss, and operator challenges.
What is required to use RightPath™?
- InCommand® Go 16 or InCommand® Go 10 (Includes Guidance Only)
- Any SteerCommand® Z2 SCM (Can or Hydraulic)
- Any SteadySteer® SCM
- GPS 7500 with TerraStar® C-Pro or better on the vehicle
- GPS 7500 with RightPath™ unlock on the implement
Is a second SCM required on the implement?
- No, a second SCM is not required on the implement. All that is needed on the implement is a receiver with the RightPath™ unlock.
Can any GPS 7500 be unlocked for RightPath™?
Yes, any GPS 7500 can be unlocked for RightPath.
Can a receiver unlocked for RightPath™ be used as a standard 7500 for other operations?
- Yes
What correction types are supported?
- TerraStar® C-Pro
- TerraStar® X
- RTK (Base, NTRIP, etc...)
If using TerraStar®, will a subscription be required for both receivers?
No, only one subscription is required, and it is for the vehicle receiver.
Is there a benefit to running higher accuracy on the implement receiver?
- No, RightPath™ utilizes the accuracy of the receiver on the tractor, even if the receiver on the implement is unlocked for higher accuracy.
How do the two GPS 7500s communicate with the Ag Leader display?
- The vehicle receiver will still communicate via the DB9 serial connector.
- The implement receiver will communicate through Ag Leader CAN A. Implements that do not have an Ag Leader CAN A harness will need to be equipped with one.
Does RightPath™ create unique or additional guidance lines in the display to manage?
No, RightPath™ places the implement on the existing guidance line rather than creating additional guidance lines for the operator to manage.
Will RightPath™ work with SmartPath® & boundary guidance?
Yes
Will RightPath™ work with all patterns?
Yes
Will InCommand® Go use the implement’s actual position for mapping when using RightPath™?
- Yes, when installed, RightPath improves the mapping and modeling accuracy of trailed implements. This improves the performance of Ag Leader’s AutoSwath® and turn compensation solutions.
Will TurnPath™ be compatible with RightPath™?
- Yes
Will RightPath™ work while reversing?
- RightPath™ will stay engaged, but performance will depend on how straight the implement is—if nearly aligned, backing up short distances is fine. If angled, the system will not compensate, so the user should disengage to avoid misalignment when entering the field.
